3 Tips To Combat Writer's Block

Updated: Feb 25, 2021

Setting goals, is very essential when building systems that will help you form good writing habits. What happens when you're lost in your thoughts and the pen doesn't budge or your finger tips don't caress the keyboard and the good writing habits just don't form. Here are three quickies to help you get your groove back.

  1. Jam-And no I'm not talking about getting packed tightly into a specified space, I speaking about going to your playlist, choosing your favorite genre, pressing play and relaxing your mind to let your conscience be free, then get down to the sounds of your favorite song writer.

  2. Beat It-Don't nobody wanna see your face, so go ahead and disappear. Take a walk, get some fresh air, travel through your old neighborhood. Whatever you do just run and get away to get some fresh air. Do what you can and I'm sure those creative juices will begin. You will not be defeated.

  3. Scream-Yes, you read that right. Scream. I'm sure writers from the past, present and future have just let it all out. And I'm here to tell you that you will find some relief when you have released to let out that piercing cry or cries expressing excitement.

Once you've completed one, two or all three of these tips, go ahead and kick start your writing process back up. Repeat the process anytime you need to.
